ABOUT US

Segritude Games was established in May 2023, based in Oxfordshire. Our growing team brings together various skills and expertise, working collectively to develop a game that stands out in the industry.

We offer a flexible contract agreement requiring a minimum of contracted hours per week. We are actively pursuing investment and funding opportunities to support and pay our team based on revenue from sales or secured funding.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a creative VFX Artist to bring impactful visual effects to our open-world PvPvE survival game. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing particle effects, environmental effects, and combat visuals that enhance immersion and gameplay feedback in Unreal Engine 5.

You will work closely with environment artists, animators, and programmers to ensure effects integrate smoothly, perform well, and match the visual tone of the game.

This position requires strong knowledge of Niagara, real-time VFX techniques, and the ability to balance visual impact with performance.

This is a remote contractor role offering flexible working hours. Compensation will begin once project funding is secured; all hours are tracked and documented.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a VFX Artist, you will create and maintain visual effects for combat, environments, weather, and gameplay systems using Niagara and Unreal Engine 5's rendering tools.

You will ensure that effects are optimised for real-time performance, and help maintain a consistent visual language across all VFX in the game.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
