SEEKING GOD’S VISION FOR THE NEXT SEASON WHILE BUILDING ON STRONG FOUNDATIONS
Could God be calling you to lead us into an exciting new season of mission and ministry?
St Luke’s Gamston & Bridgford is a lively, Spirit-filled Church of England parish serving West Bridgford and Gamston through two complementary worshipping communities. God has blessed us with faithful people, committed lay leadership, a gifted staff team, healthy finances, and a growing heart for children, young people, and families. We believe He has laid strong foundations and is now calling us into a season of renewed vision, fresh growth, and deeper discipleship.
As one of the Diocese of Southwell & Nottingham’s Resource Churches, we are committed to playing our part in the diocesan vision of growing disciples with compassion, confidence, and courage. We are praying for a Vicar who will help us discern God’s leading and build strategically on all He has already begun, equipping us to become a church that is growing younger, raising up leaders, deepening discipleship, and sharing the hope of Jesus with increasing confidence across our communities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
