A Growing, Diverse, Missional Church Community

We are praying for a new Vicar who will lead us with vision, faith and love. Could it be you?

Sunday at All Saints

Huntingdon Parish and the benefice have been successfully led through a period of seismic change over the past seven years. This has created the foundations of a thriving church community of disciples.

We are now a lively, informal, evangelical and gently charismatic church family in a vibrant market town. God has been growing us in number, diversity and depth, and we’re now praying for a Vicar who can help shape our next season.

We are seeking a new vicar who possesses both vision and strategic insight to lead us confidently into the next phase of our journey. As we continue to grow in faith and deepen our commitment as disciples, we look for guidance to help us nurture our spiritual development. Furthermore, we remain dedicated to sharing the message of Jesus throughout our town, building upon the vibrant foundations already established within our church community.

Chatty Cafe Team

We’re Looking For Someone Who

  • Brings clear vision and strategic leadership.
  • Has a pastoral heart and passion for discipleship.
  • Teaches the Word in the power of the Spirit.
  • Loves mission, especially among families, young people and the wider community.
  • Leads collaboratively, releasing and equipping others.

What You’ll Find Here

  • A warm, multi-ethnic, intergenerational church hungry to grow.
  • A creative staff team and committed volunteers.
  • Established ministries including Chatty Café, Messy Church, youth and children's work, Deaf Church, and outreach across the town.
  • A flexible and welcoming town-centre church space.
  • A parish full of opportunity and openness to the Holy Spirit’s leading.

If you long to see lives transformed, disciples grow, and a town blessed through the love of Jesus, we’d love to hear from you.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Safer Recruitment in the Diocese of Ely

The Diocese of Ely is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults, and expects all employees to undertake safeguarding checks and training relevant to their role and to adhere to the Church of England’s safeguarding policies and procedures. Therefore, this position is subject to an enhanced disclosure from the DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service).

Our Diocese

The Diocese of Ely stretches from Cambridge to Peterborough and out towards the coastal areas of West Norfolk. It houses 3/4 million people, which will rise to 1 million in the next 15 years.

This area buzzes with energy from the academic, business and medical excellence of Cambridge University to the rich agricultural areas of Huntingdon, Fenland and Norfolk.

Despite the presence of a world leading university, Cambridgeshire is not all affluent. Towns and cities have pockets of poverty and low attainment. Huntingdon is a historic, major market town with mixed housing, and significant new housing development. It is well connected by road and rail, with good local schools and lots of employment opportunities.

The Diocese of Ely is a good place to live and work: stable finances, good housing, inclusive and warm hearted senior colleagues, coupled with a rich diversity of benefices in all traditions make this a place that clergy stay once they have discovered us. We have over 110 incumbent status clergy, with a strong Diocesan team, and a real emphasis on lay development and training. We have no plans to reduce clergy numbers.

We have welcomed our new Diocesan Bishop, Rt Rev Sarah Clark, in June 2026; we look to continue the steady growth of our worshipping communities in recent years. Our Mission Strategy devolves much decision making to the parishes, benefices and deaneries, so that clergy are able to innovate, take risks and build alliances for the sake of the Kingdom of God and the good of our communities. We welcome applications from clergy who are prepared to work collaboratively and faithfully. We will enable you to flourish and grow in ministry, whilst maintaining a sensible work life balance.

A Diverse and Inclusive Workforce

The Diocese of Ely is committed to creating and sustaining a diverse and inclusive workforce which represents our context and wider community. We are aware that those of Global Majority Heritage/United Kingdom Minority Ethnic (GMH/UKME), women, and disabled people are currently under-represented among our clergy and workforce, and we particularly encourage applications from those with the relevant skills and experience that will increase this representation.
