Investor Development Manager – Global Strategy (London)
The Role
Morningstar DBRS (MDBRS) is seeking an experienced professional to join its Global Investor Strategy team, overseeing the expansion of relationships with key institutional investor clients, including asset managers, insurers, and investment funds.
The Investor Development Group specialises in promoting MDBRS coverage, brand, and credit expertise to influential market participants, with a focus on deepening investor engagement with ratings, research, products, and services. The ideal candidate will drive global outreach, enhance market visibility, and strengthen coverage for institutional investors across Europe, with a particular emphasis on:
- Infrastructure
- Corporate debt
- Structured finance
- Investment funds
This role reports to the Head of Global Investor Strategy and is stationed in the London office.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement coverage strategy for Investor Development in Europe.
- Lead relationship engagement with key contact points at European institutional investors, including credit analysts, portfolio managers, and heads of research.
- Proactively identify and develop new strategic relationships with large, institutional investors both regionally and globally.
- Establish best practices in collaboration with Marketing, Business Development, and Analytical teams to:
- Build brand visibility.
- Enhance investor engagement.
- Boost usage of relevant MDBRS services.
- Develop, lead, and execute strategic investor initiatives, including:
- Meetings
- Conference participation
- Webinars
- Bespoke events
- Track and maintain engagement data via CRM for internal reporting and analysis.
- Solicit and analyze investor feedback to provide timely insights into:
- Ratings perspectives
- Credit market views
- Facilitate demand for MDBRS ratings in investment decisions.
- Collaborate with the Business Development team to ensure uptake of MDBRS research and related products.

Essential Qualifications
- Minimum 10+ years’ experience in business development either:
- In debt capital markets, or
- In fixed income sales capacity with credit focus (institutional, project finance, or structured finance experience useful).
- Strong, established relationships with key fixed-income investors across:
- Public and private credit markets.
- Infrastructure and project finance.
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and manage large-scale investor accounts.
- Superior communication and presentation skills, especially engaging senior stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate across teams effectively.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required.
- Practical experience with Salesforce CRM.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
- MBA or CFA a plus.
Compensation & Benefits Overview
- Base salary range: GBP 84,700.00 – 113,566.66.
- Bonus target: 30% of base salary.
