Vice President - Financial Institutions Group (FIG)
A leading international investment bank is seeking a Vice President to join its Financial Institutions Group (FIG) team in London. The team advises a diverse range of financial services clients across wealth management, asset management, banking, specialty finance, payments, and fintech, delivering strategic M&A, capital raising, and broader corporate finance advisory services.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in originating and executing complex transactions while managing junior team members and building long-term client relationships within one of the market's most active FIG franchises. The role is broadly aligned with senior FIG banking experience across asset & wealth management, banking and fintech subsectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of M&A, strategic advisory, and capital markets transactions across the FIG sector.
- Manage transaction processes from initial pitch through to completion, coordinating internal and external stakeholders.
- Build and maintain senior relationships with clients, investors, management teams, and industry participants.
- Oversee financial modelling, valuation analysis, and transaction materials prepared by Analysts and Associates.
- Support Managing Directors in business development, idea generation, and sector coverage initiatives.
- Identify new opportunities within wealth management, asset management, banking, payments, fintech, and broader financial services.
- Mentor and develop junior bankers, helping drive team culture and execution excellence.

Candidate Requirements
- 6-10 years of relevant experience within investment banking, M&A advisory, corporate finance, or related financial advisory environments.
- Strong FIG experience covering one or more of:
- Asset & Wealth Management
- Banks
- Specialty Finance
- FinTech & Payments
- Financial Technology
- Demonstrated experience leading live transactions and managing client relationships.
- Advanced financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to oversee multiple workstreams simultaneously within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong commercial judgement, communication skills, and client-facing presence.
- Existing network within the UK and European financial institutions landscape is advantageous.
