Vice President, Infrastructure Finance

We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Vice President, Infrastructure Finance. HSBC’s Infrastructure Finance team is part of the Global Corporate and Institutional Banking business and provides a full suite of services to corporates, financial sponsors, financial institutions, and governments in several sectors, including Infrastructure, Power & Utilities, Renewables, Energy Transition, Transportation, Logistics, Support Services, and Digital/Telecommunication infrastructure. The team provides a single point for clients to access bank financing and advice on financing, capital structuring and debt capital markets. You’ll be a key member of the team, responsible for the origination and execution of financing transactions for HSBC’s infrastructure client base. In this role you’ll: Use your deep understanding of infrastructure sectors and financing products to provide coverage and execution services to HSBC’s infrastructure clients Originate, develop and lead execution of strategic deals, demonstrating quality thought leadership Assist in the preparation and negotiation of complex financial and project-related documents Oversee the creation of marketing materials such as pitch books, proposals, teaser documents, and information memoranda, as well as internal documents such as credit applications Conduct thorough industry and company-specific research Coordinate and collaborate with other internal stakeholders and business units within the bank Be a valued member of the team and provide leadership and mentorship to junior colleagues To be successful in this role you’ll meet the following essential requirements: Strong deal structuring, negotiation and execution experience in European Infrastructure/Project Finance transactions Experience in executing debt advisory mandates Significant experience in some or all of the power, utilities, renewable energy, energy transition, digital/telecommunication energy and/or transport infrastructure sub-sectors In-depth understanding of financial markets, including credit analysis, rating methodologies, and credit metrics Proven track record in managing execution of domestic and cross-border infrastructure financing transactions. Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with strong commercial awareness across various debt products, including loans, bonds, and derivatives transactions Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to multitask effectively Possess excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, coupled with a professional confidence that engender the view of a ‘Trusted Partner’ across a varied internal and external audience Opening up a world of opportunity.
