Vice President - IT Services / Technology Services
I am working with a highly regarded mid-market investment banking firm in London that is looking to appoint a Vice President into its growing IT Services / Technology Services team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced investment banking professional who wants to take on a visible, execution-focused role within a specialist advisory platform. The firm has a strong track record advising founder-led, private equity-backed, and corporate clients across the technology and IT services landscape, with a particular focus on mid-market M&A transactions.
As a VP, you will play a key role in driving deal execution, managing client workstreams, and supporting senior bankers in the origination and delivery of transactions. You will work closely with Managing Directors and Directors, while also taking responsibility for mentoring Associates and Analysts within the team.
The Role Will Involve:
- Leading day-to-day execution on M&A transactions across the IT services sector, including sell-side, buy-side, and strategic advisory mandates.
- Managing financial modelling, valuation analysis, buyer research, information memoranda, management presentations, and other key transaction materials.
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, private equity investors, strategic buyers, lawyers, accountants, and other advisers throughout live processes.
- Supporting senior bankers with sector coverage, origination materials, pitch preparation, and market mapping.
- Developing a strong understanding of trends across IT services, managed services, cloud, cybersecurity, digital transformation, software implementation, and related technology-enabled services markets.
- Managing and developing junior team members, ensuring high-quality execution and delivery across all workstreams.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
