Overview

We’re looking for a Vice President for our Tech Practice. As a strategic partner, you’ll lead integrated marketing and/or communications strategies, guide the agency’s full breadth of services, and shape day-to-day client strategy and operations.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Partnering closely with clients to define and execute long-term strategies, ensuring success at every stage.
  • Overseeing budgets, scopes of work, staffing, and contract negotiations.
  • Growing the business through expanding top-line revenue and client value.
  • Serving as a leader for your team, responsible for mentoring junior and mid-level talent.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the strategic leader and principal client contact, serving as a trusted advisor on integrated strategies, messaging, planning, execution, creativity, and measurement.
  • Own client health and success, anticipating needs and addressing challenges with solutions as they arise.
  • Manage budgets, utilization, and staffing requirements, while participating in contract negotiations.
  • Drive business growth by identifying opportunities to upsell and introduce agency offerings to clients.
  • Define and refine team structures and roles while ensuring alignment with client goals.
  • Upskill and develop junior staff while actively mentoring mid-level colleagues.
  • Lead new business initiatives and contribute to office/department operational goals.
  • Stay aligned with Allison+Partners’ core values, participating in training and professional development initiatives.

Requirements

This role is ideal for a proven leader with:

  • 9+ years of experience as a senior director in public relations, marketing, or a related field.
  • Expertise in Tech, with niche specialty knowledge.
  • A deep understanding of media ecosystems, storytelling best practices, and engagement strategies.
  • Exceptional executive management skills: balancing client expectations while championing change.
  • A track record of delivering integrated programs from concept to completion.
  • Hands-on experience with budget tracking, resource allocation, and contract negotiations.
  • Ability to foster and sustain healthy, communicative relationships across all levels.
