We're not just digitizing paper. We're building the data layer that turns a credential into a career move—connecting people with job opportunities, labour market insights, and learning pathways that help them take the next step. Our mission is ambitious: to be the first company to issue one billion verifiable, career-advancing credentials.
We're a fully remote team spread across the US, UK, Egypt, India, Portugal, and beyond. We debate like equals, hold each other to high standards, and genuinely care about our customers and each other.
We're looking for a Vice President of Engineering to lead our Engineering organisation day-to-day. Reporting directly to our CTO, you'll own the people, processes, and delivery that keep our engineering organisation running at its best, enabling the CTO to focus on long-term technical strategy.
If you're passionate about building exceptional engineering teams, creating an environment where great software ships consistently, and scaling engineering organisations through strong leadership rather than bureaucracy, we'd love to hear from you.
🎯 Who You Are
You're an experienced engineering leader who knows how to build high-performing distributed teams. You understand that great engineering organisations are built through trust, clarity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- You're equally comfortable discussing architecture with senior engineers, coaching engineering managers, reviewing delivery metrics, or partnering with Product and Executive Leadership on strategic priorities.
- Most importantly, you're a compassionate leader who listens first, communicates clearly, embraces feedback, and creates an environment where engineers can do the best work of their careers.
💻 What You'll Be Doing
- Building and leading a high-performing, generative engineering culture.
- Hiring exceptional engineers and engineering leaders while coaching existing team members to grow.
- Managing engineering performance and making difficult people decisions when necessary.
- Owning engineering delivery, ensuring the team reliably ships what it commits to.
- Driving sprint execution, engineering velocity, predictability, and continuous improvement.
- Designing and refining engineering processes including sprint planning, code review, CI/CD, and Jira workflows.
- Partnering with Product and company leadership to make effective roadmap and technical prioritisation decisions.
- Championing engineering quality, technical excellence, and platform reliability.
- Working alongside the CTO to evolve Accredible's long-term technical architecture and engineering strategy.
- Monitoring and communicating engineering health, including delivery metrics, uptime, defects, and operational performance.
- Supporting customer conversations involving technical architecture when needed.
🧠 How We Work
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

At Accredible, Engineering exists to build products that customers love while continuously improving how we work.
- You'll lead a fully distributed engineering organisation spanning multiple countries and time zones, creating an environment where autonomy, ownership, and accountability thrive.

- You'll work closely with our CTO, CEO, Product leadership, and Executive Team to ensure engineering execution supports company priorities while maintaining a healthy balance between delivery, technical investment, and long-term platform stability.
This role is focused on engineering leadership—you won't own product strategy, security & compliance, or internal IT, as those areas have dedicated ownership.
This role is remote and UK-based (or close to GMT) to align with the engineering organisation, with occasional travel required to meet the Senior Leadership Team, typically less than twice per year.
