Our client, a leading international investment bank with a highly regarded and deal-active healthcare franchise, is looking to appoint a Vice President or Senior Vice President to join its Healthcare M&A team in London.
Crucially, prior healthcare experience is not essential. The team is equally keen to hear from strong M&A professionals from generalist or technology backgrounds who have a genuine interest in the healthcare sector and are looking to specialise. Full support will be provided to build sector knowledge within one of the most active and defensive areas of the M&A market.
The Role:
- Execute M&A transactions across the healthcare sector, including sell-side and buy-side mandates for corporates, private equity firms, and founders
- Run day-to-day deal processes, managing multiple workstreams and acting as a key point of contact for clients and counterparties
- Support senior bankers on origination, including pitch preparation, sector analysis, and the development of new client relationships
- Supervise and develop analysts and associates across live transactions and marketing efforts
- Build deep expertise across healthcare subsectors, including pharma services, medtech, healthcare services, diagnostics, and life sciences

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
