Salary Band 3, £26,154 per annum (£12,723 pro rata)
Location: Agile, Forth Banks Police Station and homeworking
Hours/Contract: Part time – 18 hours per week, fixed term / secondment until June 2027
The role

This could be the perfect time for you to join us in our Criminal Justice and Custody Department as a Victim and Witness Support Services Administrator.
As a Victim & Witness Support Services Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality services to victims and witnesses. Working within a dedicated team, you will undertake a range of administrative and casework duties to ensure the efficient and effective running of the service.
You will support the management and processing of victim-related data, helping to maintain accurate and timely information. The role also involves acting as a key point of contact for members of the public, providing advice, support and information in a professional and sensitive manner. You will work closely with partner agencies and stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach to service delivery and positive outcomes for those we support.
What you’ll do
- Accurately input and extract data from systems to support the timely flow of information and effective delivery of victim services.
- Receive, assess and allocate information to the correct cases, ensuring records are accurate, up to date and progressed within required timescales.
- Coordinate travel, accommodation and financial arrangements for victims and witnesses, maintaining accurate financial records and liaising with CPS.
- Manage Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA) applications, acting as a key point of contact and ensuring timely, accurate information is provided.
- Maintain comprehensive records and performance data using paper and digital systems to support service delivery and reporting requirements.

- Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team, contributing to shared objectives across a range of functions.
- Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage complex workloads and meet deadlines and performance targets.
- Ability to work accurately within defined frameworks, delivering outputs that meet established standards and criteria.
- Effective problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse and respond to complex issues while managing competing priorities.

Terms of appointment
This is a fixed term / secondment role subject to a six-month probationary period.
If you are successful in your application, you will have a six-month probation period with us where you will be unable to apply for any other post advertised internally or externally.
