Job Title

Support the club's player evaluation process through the delivery of industry-leading video analysis, gathering market intelligence, and supporting the due diligence process. The role is responsible for producing objective video evidence, player presentations, and supporting intelligence that enhance decision-making throughout the scouting and recruitment process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the club's video analysis framework to support the player evaluation and recruitment process.
  • Build and maintain comprehensive video databases aligned to positional profiles and recruitment priorities.
  • Produce high-quality, professionally telestrated player videos for senior football leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Deliver insightful video analysis content to support player assessments, recruitment discussions, and decision-making processes.
  • Create comparative video analysis to benchmark players against squad profiles and target players.
  • Create engaging presentations and visual materials to support recruitment and player evaluation meetings.
  • Compile detailed player dossiers, providing a holistic view of player suitability, profile, and potential.
  • Support due diligence processes through player intelligence gathering, background research, and contextual analysis.
  • Maintain structured intelligence databases.
  • Collaborate with the Football Analytics department to integrate video, data, and intelligence into the player evaluation process.
  • Continuously improve video analysis workflows, frameworks, and content management systems.
  • Maintain effective communication and collaboration across departments to support innovation and best practice.
  • Act in a manner that supports the Club's Values of Growth, Integrity, Belonging, Resilience, Pride, and Commitment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Extensive experience working in professional football within an analysis-related role; experience within scouting and recruitment environments is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of football tactics, positional profiling, player evaluation, and recruitment processes.
  • Proven experience producing high-quality video analysis, player presentations, and decision-support materials.
  • Expert user of industry-leading video analysis platforms, including Wyscout, Hudl Sportscode, Catapult MatchTracker, Catapult Focus, and CoachPaint.
  • Experience managing large volumes of video content, intelligence, and player information.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • FA Talent Identification qualification (completed or working towards) is desirable.
