Working as part of an agile and growing marketing team, you will lead the creation of engaging video content that brings Midwich, our vendor partners and our technical expertise to life across multiple brands.
This is a hands-on production role with responsibility for the full content lifecycle, from identifying opportunities and developing creative concepts through to filming, editing and distribution. Alongside delivering high-quality video content, you will help shape Midwich's video strategy by developing recurring content series, supporting Innovation House, identifying new storytelling opportunities and working closely with technical specialists to create content that informs, educates and inspires our audiences.
As the subject matter expert for video production within the marketing team, you will continually evolve our video output by introducing new ideas, improving production workflows and embracing emerging technologies.
What you will be doing in this role
- Produce high-quality video content for LinkedIn, YouTube and other relevant digital platforms, as well as offline marketing channels.
- Manage the complete video production process from briefing, concept development, scripting and storyboarding through to filming, editing, post-production and delivery.
- Proactively identify opportunities for new video content aligned with marketing campaigns, commercial priorities, product launches and industry trends.
- Develop and maintain recurring video series that establish Midwich as a trusted source of industry expertise and technical insight, including podcasts, interviews, Innovation House TV, product showcases, customer case studies and event content.
- Take the lead on directing shoots, managing contributors and ensuring productions are delivered to a consistently high creative standard.
- Work closely with Content, Design, Digital Marketing, PR, Product Managers, specialists and vendor partners to plan and deliver engaging video content.
- Produce original content and repurpose existing footage into new edits optimised for different audiences and platforms.
- Convert and optimise video content for multiple digital channels and formats.
- Capture photography where required to support marketing campaigns, events and digital content.
- Support presenters and interviewees before and during filming, helping them feel confident and deliver engaging content on camera.
- Contribute creative ideas that enhance Midwich's overall video output and support the ongoing development of our video strategy.
- Monitor video trends, platform best practices and content performance to continually improve creative output.
- Explore emerging AI-powered creative tools and production workflows where appropriate to improve efficiency and content quality.
- Manage the organisation, storage, backup and archiving of video projects and media assets, ensuring best practice is maintained.
- Support wider marketing initiatives and campaigns as required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
