Role Description

The Video Editor will work on a contract basis in a remote capacity, collaborating with the Aqua Studio team to produce high-quality video content for a variety of clients and platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Editing raw footage
  • Applying cinematic color grading
  • Integrating motion graphics
  • Ensuring smooth pacing and storytelling across different video formats

The role involves preparing files for various social media and advertising channels, optimizing videos for performance, and maintaining visual consistency with each client’s brand guidelines. The Video Editor will also coordinate with project managers and creative leads, meet deadlines, and incorporate feedback in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated skills in Video Production and Video Editing for digital, social, and marketing content.
  • Proficiency in Video Color Grading to create polished, cinematic looks and maintain visual consistency.
  • Experience with Motion Graphics and Graphics to build dynamic titles, transitions, and animated elements.
  • Advanced knowledge of industry-standard editing and animation tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar).
  • Strong sense of visual storytelling, pacing, and sound design, with attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to work remotely, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
  • Previous experience creating ads, explainer videos, or social media content is highly beneficial.
  • Relevant education or training in film, media, design, or a related field is a plus, but equivalent professional experience is also valued.
