Maskew Media · Remote/hybrid (Peterborough, Cambridgeshire) · Full-time, permanent

£25,000–£30,000 depending on experience

Maskew Media is a video production company working with founders in financial and professional services. We produce brand films, event coverage and social content - we shoot everything ourselves, on location, on cinema-grade kit - and we make The Objection Room, a video podcast.

We're a young company - a few years in and stable - and this hire matters. Right now the founder does much of the editing himself. We're looking for an editor to take that on at a high standard, with full support and training, so he can focus on winning new work and growing the brand. You'd be working directly with the founder, seeing up close how a company gets built, and making a genuine difference to the business rather than being a small part of a big machine.

The role

  • Edit podcast episodes and short-form clips in line with our guidance and brand guidelines (full training given)
  • Edit brand films, event videos and social content from professionally shot footage
  • Manage the editing workflow: organise project files, prep timelines and selects for other editors, and pass projects cleanly between the team
  • Take near-finished edits through to delivery
  • Every project comes with a paper edit - selects, structure and story mapped before it reaches you

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Essential

  • Confident editing in Premiere Pro - our whole workflow runs on it and projects move between editors, so this one is non-negotiable
  • Strong instincts for pacing and storytelling
  • Organised and reliable with file management, versions and naming
  • Based within reach of Peterborough, with the right to work in the UK. The role is largely remote, but we meet in person a few times a month

Desirable (none of these are deal breakers)

  • After Effects
  • Your own laptop capable of editing (we supply storage drives and software subscriptions, and can help with kit)
  • A fast internet connection - project files are large
  • An interest in videography. This is an editing role, but there may be opportunities to attend shoots

What we offer

  • £25-30k, permanent, with a three-month probation period
  • Your work published quickly - podcast episodes and client films across YouTube and LinkedIn
  • A role we'll shape around your strengths as the business grows. We're looking for someone to grow with the company long term
  • A straightforward hiring process: a short call, then a paid trial edit (£150, real project, three-day turnaround), then a final meeting to talk through your edit. We aim to move from application to offer within two weeks

How to apply

Email arthur@maskew.media with the subject line "Editor - [your name]" and include:

  1. Links to one or two videos you edited yourself
  2. A few sentences on one editing decision you made in one of them, and why you made it

No CV or cover letter - AI can write those for you, and this isn't a writing job.

Just realised LinkedIn forces you to send a CV, just send a document with link(s) to the example videos instead.
