Who You Are
- 5+ years’ experience producing premium video content—whether as journalist, producer, photographer, or innovative maker.
- An instinctive storyteller with a sharp editorial eye (and the audacity to hit like every other tier-winning brand—inside and out).
- Full-stack capability: from ideation to shoot to editing/directing; no weakest link. If there’s an audience you can’s connect to, format a video for it—policy teams to tech Nerds to deathbeat reporters to sceptical investors, who cares.
- Curiosity in crisis. Boring, settled trends are crowd-friendly but ineffective. Your superpower’s the lousy gut feeling—“this needs telling differently. Right now.”
- Piling on impossible expectations (This has to better than this or that or the other or the best version we could’ve made)—while running the gauntlet where product-market fit is nascent and team-cultural intuition is still nursing.
- Competitive. You know the global quality bar by number and note and tone until your head starts humming it like our country anthem.
- Focus on building the video powerhouse Scarlet deserves—with you as trusted solo exit responsible for everything from cadence, content pillars, end-to-end production to owning the engine.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Operationally (Prioritising output):
- Succeed at the output cadence: targeted twice weekly and larger monthlies (horizontals?)—constant keeper/outperformer.
- Closing every edit pervised-up for commit, style-guide-consistent, meticulously sequestered, upload-straight. No afterthoughts.
