Creative Producer

Location
Manchester (Primarily Office-based)

Reports To
Head of Production

About the Role

We're looking for somebody to help us build the next stage of Shoot Business. This isn't a traditional producer role. We're looking for somebody with a builder mentality. Someone who enjoys taking ownership, sees something good and wants to make it even better. As well as delivering brilliant work, you'll help shape the future of the production team and the way we work.

As Shoot Business grows, we're building a dedicated retainer team to support a growing number of long-term client partnerships. You'll take ownership of a portfolio of clients, becoming a trusted extension of their team and helping them consistently create brilliant content.

No two weeks look the same. One day you might be planning a shoot, briefing freelancers or helping a client shape their content strategy. The next you could be directing interviews on location, visiting a construction site, hospital, university or manufacturing facility, solving a last-minute production challenge or pitching creative ideas for an upcoming campaign.

One of the best parts of the role is getting a window into different industries, meeting fascinating people and helping them tell their stories.

We're a small team, which means you'll have real ownership from day one. Your ideas will be heard, your work will have an impact, and you'll play a genuine part in shaping how we grow.

The ideal person has experience managing creative projects, building client relationships and making things happen.

They might have spent time freelancing, working in production, at an agency or in an in-house marketing team. What matters most is that they enjoy taking ownership, solving problems and collaborating with others to deliver great work.

Most importantly, we're not looking for somebody chasing their next job. We're looking for somebody who wants to help build the right one.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Working Pattern

This is primarily an office-based role from our Manchester office. We believe the best ideas, relationships and learning opportunities happen when people work together in person, particularly in a creative environment.

That said, we're also realistic. Once settled into the role, there will be flexibility for a structured hybrid working arrangement, typically one agreed day per week working from home where appropriate.

We're not looking to monitor people. We trust our team to manage their time and responsibilities professionally. In return, we ask for consistency, communication and a commitment to being present when the team needs you.

About Shoot Business

Shoot Business is a Manchester-based video production company working across healthcare, education, construction, technology, the public sector and commercial brands. We create everything from social content and case studies to corporate films, educational content, events, animation and TV adverts.

We're a small team that believes in trusting people, giving them ownership and creating an environment where good ideas are heard, people support one another and everyone has the opportunity to grow.

We're proud of the work we create, but we're equally proud of the team we're building. If that sounds like the sort of place you'd like to be part of, we'd love to hear from you.

How to Apply

Send us your CV, a short introduction and, if possible, examples of work you're proud of.

We'd also love to see something that gives us a sense of who you are. That could be a showreel, a project you've produced, a social post you're proud of, or even a short video introducing yourself and telling us why this role excites you.

We're much more interested in how you think and what you care about than ticking every box on a job description.
