Film and Video Editor - AI Trainer
Job Type: Part-time
Location: Remote
Job Summary
Join our team as a Film and Video Editor – AI Trainer, applying your industry expertise to shape the future of AI-driven editing. You’ll empower artificial intelligence to grasp the artistry of storytelling, ensuring intelligent systems reflect the depth and creativity of human editing—capturing nuances in storytelling, shot selection, pacing, and post-production workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Train AI models on editing principles, focusing on storytelling, shot selection, and visual narratives.
- Collaborate with technical teams, providing annotated samples, feedback, and guidance on editing tasks.
- Curate and organize video assets, aligning with producers or directors to optimize workflows for final production.
- Edit and synchronize soundtracks with moving imagery for seamless audio-visual integration.
- Evaluate and refine AI-generated edits, delivering detailed feedback (written and verbal) to enhance system performance.
- Advocate for best practices in pacing, synchronization, and visual clarity within AI-assisted editing.
- Maintain clear communication with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience editing film, video, or digital media.
- Proficiency in industry-standard editing software, including Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to clarity and detail.
- Experience collaborating with producers or directors to achieve post-production creative goals.
- Deep understanding of synchronization, pacing, and visual storytelling.
- Ability to provide structured, actionable feedback and document processes effectively.
- Independent, proactive, and adaptable for remote collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience training AI models or collaborating with machine learning teams in creative fields.
- Background in teaching, mentorship, or editorial leadership roles.
- Familiarity with integrating sound and image editing workflows (excluding specialized sound engineering).
