Videographer - Fully Remote | Upto $60/hr

Professional Photographer / Videographer

Position: Contract Type: Contract Compensation: $60/hour (or $120 per task) Location: Remote


About the Role

Mercor connects elite creative and technical talent with leading AI research labs. Headquartered in San Francisco, our investor network includes Benchmark, General Catalyst, Peter Thiel, Adam D’Angelo, Larry Summers, and Jack Dorsey.

You’ll work remotely as a Professional Photographer/Videographer to capture high-quality visual content that integrates AI-driven projects.


Role Responsibilities

  • [Screenshot & Composition] Shoot 10 input images of people, objects, or backgrounds.
  • [Output Creation] Deliver 1 output image and 1 output video that creatively merges all inputs into a single frame.
  • [Quality & Alignment] Ensure all final work meets explicit guidelines and maintains exceptional visual quality.
  • [Process Efficiency] Operate effectively in fast-paced, independent settings, avoiding unnecessary steps to remain polished and streamlined.
  • [Collaboration] Work with AI labs and team members to align creatively and technically.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • 2+ years of professional photography experience (portfolio-based roles accepted).
  • Strong portfolio: DeviantArt, Behance, or other web-driven gallery showcasing high-quality visual storytelling. (In-person portfolios not sufficient without a web-accessible collection.)
  • Camera & Gear Access to DSLR or equivalent equipment (no phone-only submissions).
  • Editing Proficiency: Familiary with Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or CapCut for video editing.
  • Self-Direction: Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines while maintaining consistent quality.

Preferred

  • Creative thinker: Passionate explorer of photographic/aesthetic experiments who thrives in adaptive environments.
  • Problem-solving attitude: Preference for collaborative, intra-disciplinary solutions.

Application Process

Total estimated commitment: 20-30 minutes

  1. Interview A 20-minute conversational screening (AI-powered adaptive questioning).
  2. Form Submissions Submit relevant documentation (portfolio links) in *5 minutes or less.
  3. Paid Work Trial Selected finalists complete a $120 paid stage trial.
    • Duration: ~2 hours (but remuneration is $120/hour-cap, based on task completion, not time logged).
    • Successful completion grants production incorporation and escalates to additional tasks.

Compensation & Remuneration

  • Payment structure: $120 per completed task (designated one-off projects).
  • Compensation reflects $60/hour (approximate hourly rate but task-driven schedules are flexible).
  • Reverted-back hourly rate is not guaranteed unless all trial/output criteria is formally met.
