About Us

Halfords is on a journey - building the future of motoring and cycling and looking for people who want to help shape what comes next. We’re a place for co‑creators: people who want to make a real impact, take ownership and be part of something that’s still evolving.

As the UK’s leading retailer of motoring and cycling products, we’re supported by one of the country’s largest independent vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair networks through Halfords Autocentres. This breadth gives us a strong, stable foundation - and the freedom to keep innovating and growing.

That means real variety for our colleagues, along with the opportunity to learn, stretch and develop as the business moves forward. Whatever your role, you’ll be part of a team focused on delivering exceptional service - using your expertise to solve problems, guide customers and help keep the nation moving with confidence.

About The Role

As a Videographer/Photographer at Halfords, you’ll be responsible for producing high‑quality video and photography content that supports our retail, autocentres and digital and social channels. Your work will play a key role in delivering our marketing, PR and communication objectives.

You will collaborate closely with the Studio Manager to create compelling digital content that resonates with our diverse audiences. This ranges from everyday social content and website assets to YouTube content and hero creative for major multi‑channel campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Studio Manager to plan and execute briefs, including developing shot lists and storyboards during pre‑production.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to create video and photography content that meets KPIs, drives engagement, increases click‑throughs and attracts new audiences.
  • Respond to creative briefs by producing, shooting and editing innovative content across a variety of formats and digital platforms.
  • Support the development of distinctive, on‑brand visual outputs that align with Halfords’ wider brand, digital strategy and tone of voice.
  • Work closely with the Studio Editor and Asset Librarian to ensure accurate, first‑time delivery of assets across multiple channels including DAM, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and the Halfords website.
  • Manage deadlines effectively to ensure timely delivery of all video and photography outputs.
  • Oversee the maintenance, preparation and organisation of all equipment as well as raising requests for additional kit, software or props when required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
