As the Vision and Inspection Technology Specialist within Advanced Manufacturing (RPSI, EMEA), you will lead the technical deployment of advanced vision and inspection technologies, ensuring superior product quality, operational reliability, and strategic alignment across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities
Technology Ownership & Deployment
- Lead the evaluation, selection, and deployment of vision and inspection technologies, including:
- 2D/3D vision systems
- Cameras, sensors, lighting (hardware), and image processing platforms
- Ensure tailored solutions align with quality goals, safety compliance, and operational scalability.
- Collaborate with vendors and teams to execute installations, commissioning, and validation.
- Oversee lifecycle management, preventing obsolescence and standardizing hardware/software.
- Develop a curated network of best-in-class suppliers and solutions.
Feasibility & Value Assessment
- Conduct technical viability studies for new inspection systems.
- Partner with finance teams to develop business cases for investment.
- Identify process improvements through vision technology, focusing on:
- Defect detection
- Acquisition yield
- Traceability
- Process robustness
Regional Coordination
- Initiate iterative improvement across EMEA sites (e.g., false reject reduction, vendor-driven upgrades).
- Represent regional vision technologies needs, adapting solutions to local constraints.
- Oversee cross-site rollouts to ensure standardization and readiness.
- Promote knowledge-sharing through regional collaboration.
Integration & Collaboration
- Partner with Engineering (Automation, OT, Digital) teams for seamless integration.
- Align vision systems with Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing initiatives.
- Premiere troubleshooting for vision faults with plant engineers.

Advocacy & Capability Building
- Share lessons learnt, best practices, and standards across sites.
- Stay ahead of advancements – including AI-based inspection and emerging sensors.
- Train and upskill plant teams on vision and inspection technologies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven expertise deploying industrial vision and inspection systems in production.
- In-depth understanding of:
- Machine vision and cameras,
- Lighting and sensor technologies,
- Image processing and software.
- Knowledge of controls, OT, and digital integration in manufacturing.
- Proven coaching ability and structured knowledge-sharing approach.
- Project management and stakeholder engagement experience.
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Passion for smart manufacturing, quality excellence, and innovation.
- Innovative mindset for developing scalable, future-proof concepts.
- Ability to freely travel across EMEA sites as needed.
