About the Role

Working in our award-winning visitor experience centre in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, you will provide a memorable and enjoyable visit to all our customers whilst exceeding expectations, by providing a friendly, professional, and knowledgeable customer service.

Our Wensleydale Creamery Visitor Centre in Hawes welcomes around 300 thousand visitors per year and is the flagship of Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese, showcased through our fabulous Visitor Experience, Cheese Shop, Gift Shop, Calvert’s Restaurant & 1897 Coffee Shop.

Work Pattern

  • Part-time option: working alternate weekends and one weekday every week.
  • Seasonal options available, especially for weekend work.
  • Typical working hours: 8.30am - 5pm with flexible hours available.

Your Contributions

You’ll make contributions that matter by:

  • Serving our customers with exceptional and professional customer care across all departments and areas.
  • Demonstrating good knowledge of our products.
  • Dealing with customer queries and promoting our brand.
  • Building rapport and going the extra mile to engage with customers.
  • Handling customer complaints with a proactive approach.
  • Handling cash / card transactions in line with company policy.
  • Maximizing sales at every opportunity.
  • Ensuring departments are clean, tidy, and fully stocked.
