Welcome visitors from across the globe at one of the world’s most visited cultural institutions.
The Role
You’ll be part of a Visitor Experience Team – on a 10 month contract – at the heart of a busy, world famous visitor attraction. Every day brings new faces, new questions and new chances to make someone’s visit unforgettable.
Key responsibilities:
- Welcome a diverse range of visitors and help them find their way around
- Proactively engage with visitors to make sure they get the most from their visit
- Manage visitor flow and queuing with a calm, friendly approach
- Follow policies and procedures to keep everyone safe
- Assist with emergency evacuations when needed
- Resolve visitor issues quickly, or escalate to the Duty Manager
- Work closely with teams across Learning, Security and the Café
- Greet visitors on arrival and set them up for a great visit
- Support opening and closing procedures

- Previous experience in a tourist venue or customer facing role
- Excellent customer service skills and a genuine warmth with people
- A positive, proactive attitude that doesn’t waver under pressure
- Strong communication skills across all ages and backgrounds
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, ever-changing environment
- Flexibility across weekdays, weekends and occasional evenings
- A second language is a bonus
