I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

This is not a “maintain the standard” role - this is an opportunity to shape and elevate a brand in real time. You’ll play a key part in bringing the Jewells vision to life across our stores, creating environments that stop customers in their tracks and drive real commercial impact.
We’re looking for someone who is hands-on, fast-paced, and obsessed with detail - someone who thrives in a dynamic retail environment and isn’t afraid to challenge what “good” looks like.
This role will require travel across the UK to support our store network, ensuring consistency, execution, and continuous elevation of our visual standards.
If you’re passionate about retail, love turning ideas into reality, and want to be part of building something ambitious - we’d love to hear from you.
