Visual Merchandiser

Location: London-based, with regular international travel required to support our stores worldwide

About the Role

The Visual Merchandiser plays a key role in delivering exceptional visual merchandising across the brand’s global store network.

Reporting to the Visual Merchandising Manager, this role will take ownership of the planning and delivery of seasonal/monthly installations, window displays, product launches, new store openings/events and special projects, ensuring every retail environment reflects the brand’s creative vision and consistently high standards.

Working closely with the Visual Merchandising Manager, the role will translate seasonal concepts, guidelines and creative direction into considered and commercially effective retail environments across both fashion and homeware.

This is a hands-on position suited to an experienced Visual Merchandiser who is comfortable operating with a high level of autonomy. While this is not a management role, the successful candidate will be expected to take ownership of projects, make confident decisions and work independently across multiple locations.

The role combines planning, organisation and project coordination with the practical execution of visual merchandising, including styling, installation, dressing mannequins, moving fixtures and adapting retail spaces when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the delivery of visual merchandising across the international store network, ensuring every space reflects the brand aesthetic, seasonal direction and expected standards.
  • Plan and deliver seasonal installations, window displays, product launches and in-store updates from initial preparation through to completion.
  • Translate visual merchandising concepts, creative direction and guidelines into exceptional in-store execution.
  • Work confidently across both fashion and homeware, understanding the different approaches required to present clothing, accessories, furniture, objects and lifestyle products.
  • Ensure every installation is completed to the highest standard of presentation, craftsmanship and finish.
  • Prepare, style and install displays, including dressing mannequins and arranging product, furniture, fixtures and props.
  • Take responsibility for transforming retail spaces for new store openings, refits, events and special projects.
  • Plan and manage visual merchandising timelines, logistics, materials and resources to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and on schedule.
  • Coordinate the movement and installation of props, fixtures, furniture and display materials across locations.
  • Conduct store visits to review presentation, identify opportunities for improvement and implement updates.
  • Work closely with store teams to maintain visual standards and provide clear direction and practical support.
  • Coach and influence store teams to maintain strong visual merchandising standards between visits.
  • Work collaboratively with Retail, Creative, Operations, Buying and other relevant teams to ensure projects are delivered consistently.
  • Support commercial objectives by creating compelling retail environments that enhance product presentation and the customer experience.
  • Maintain a high level of organisation across all visual merchandising projects, ensuring materials, samples, tools and installation requirements are prepared in advance.
  • Provide the Visual Merchandising Manager with clear feedback from stores and contribute ideas to improve future installations, guidelines and ways of working.
  • Identify and resolve practical challenges on site, making confident decisions while protecting the creative intention and brand standards.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About You

You will have a refined visual eye and a strong understanding of luxury retail presentation.

You instinctively understand how to create environments that feel considered, distinctive and true to the brand, whether working with fashion, homeware or a combination of both.

You will have significant experience delivering visual merchandising across multiple stores within a luxury or design-led retail business.

You are likely to be operating at Senior Visual Merchandiser level or have experience close to management level, although this role does not include direct line management.

You combine creativity with exceptional organisation and are equally comfortable planning a complex seasonal installation as you are executing it on the shop floor.

You are confident working independently, taking ownership and making decisions without requiring close supervision.

You can assess a space, identify what needs to change and deliver improvements to a consistently high standard.

You are practical, resourceful and willing to take a hands-on approach, whether that means dressing mannequins, styling furniture and homeware, building displays, moving fixtures or resetting an entire retail space.

You communicate clearly and build positive working relationships with store teams and colleagues across the wider business.

You are able to influence visual standards through your knowledge, judgement and approach, even without formal management responsibility.

Experience working across both luxury fashion and homeware or interiors would be highly desirable.

  • Experience using Sketch Up and Photoshop would be advantageous.
  • Proven ability to work independently, take ownership and make confident decisions on site.
  • Experience interpreting creative concepts and visual merchandising guidelines and translating them into consistently executed retail environments.
  • Comfortable with all practical and physical aspects of visual merchandising, including styling, installation, dressing mannequins, moving fixtures and adapting spaces.
  • Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of how visual merchandising supports product presentation, customer experience and business performance.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to guide and influence store teams.
  • A proactive, flexible and solutions-focused approach.
