Senior Conceptual Designer – News Visuals
Location: Daily Mail Headquarters, HSK, London, W8 5HY Type: Full Time, Permanent (Hybrid – 4 days in office, 1 day remote)

Role Overview
You’ll be a Senior Conceptual Designer driving the visual identity of Daily Mail, creating striking, engaging and future-proof visuals that support both breaking news (including last-minute updates) and long-term projects.

Responsibilities
- Visual storytelling: Conceptualise and bring to life illustrations, collages and dynamic visuals to emphasise key news content.
- Cross-platform expertise: Design assets adhering to different device resolutions (mobile to desktop) efficiently.
- Collaborate with teams: Working closely with Graphics, Video, Social and Development teams, as well as Editors & Publishers, to align visuals with the Mail’s tone and audience needs.
- Homepage visual strategy: Help establish the future-beating visual language for the Mail’s homepage.
- Speed and precision: In a fast-paced newsroom, bugshot concepts for breaking news, deliver quality work, meet tight deadlines, and be ready to adapt to urgent real-world events.
- Project versatility: Manage a mix of urgent one-off commissions to long-term brand projects.
- Collaborative leadership: Partner with the Visual Director to shape and execute an evolving visual language for Mail Stories.

Desirable Skills (Not Required)
- Experience with basic front-end development (HTML, CSS).
- Knowledge of animation software (e.g., Adobe After Effects).
