Visual Merchandising Manager, Northern Europe

Mission Statement

The Visual Merchandising Manager for Northern Europe will execute Visual Merchandising strategies and implement visual displays across all stores and department stores in the region to drive sales. This role is crucial in upholding the company's brand image and style, ensuring consistent brand presence, optimizing product presentation, and enhancing the client experience. The manager acts as a key link between Regional VM and local stores, ensuring flawless implementation of VM guidelines and animations, thereby supporting sales performance.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Northern Europe VM team and ensure standards are maintained across all points of sale.
  • Implement visual directives from Paris in Northern Europe boutiques and department store concessions.
  • Build strong relationships with Boutique and Concession management teams to align VM with business strategy and sales objectives.
  • Manage Northern Europe Visual Merchandising budgets in conjunction with the Head of Finance.
  • Source suppliers for VM implementation and production in line with Paris guidelines and budget.
  • Organize all Northern Europe Visual Merchandising training for delivery by VM ambassadors in boutiques and concessions.
  • Manage the seasonal changeover of window schemes.
  • Organize the manufacture of VM tools where required.
  • Maintain an up-to-date database of VM tools to track their location and storage.
  • Plan seasonal window décor for all categories, liaising with the Paris-based Design team and local suppliers.
  • Organize, oversee, and manage all VM tools and suppliers.
  • Oversee all VM implementation for UK events.
  • Report weekly to Paris head office on all VM activities.
  • Guide VM Ambassadors in executing visual standards, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing to maintain Dior’s VM excellence.

  • Minimum 5-10 years of previous Visual Merchandising experience within a multi-category luxury fashion house.
  • Proven ability to lead an experienced and capable team.
  • Proven ability to manage VM productions and financial budgets.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A passion for Christian Dior and its collections.
  • Strong knowledge of fashion and trends.
  • Knowledge of window décor designs and building techniques/materials.
  • Availability to work late nights where required.
  • Experience with back office management.
  • Proficiency in Illustrator and InDesign systems is a plus.
