Whitehall Resources require a VMWare Aria Operations SME with active SC clearance to work with a key client on a 3 month initial contract.
*Inside IR35.
*This role will be remote working, with potential for occasional visits to Warwick.
*Active SC clearance required.

Experienced VMware Aria Monitoring SME responsible for discovering, designing and configuring monitoring and alerting in Aria Operations and Aria Operations for Networks. This is to deliver visibility across infrastructure and network components.

Responsibilities
- Discover and design Aria alerts, metrics, dashboards, and reports.
- Configure Aria Operations and Aria Operations for Networks with customised policies, alerts, and metrics.
- Integrate with a range of infrastructure (hardware, VMs, storage) and network devices (switches, routers, firewalls) using protocols like SNMP, ICMP, etc.
- Configure performance monitoring and capacity planning.
- Enable network flow visibility, dependency mapping.
- Tune alerts to reduce noise and improve actionable insights.
- Develop dashboards and reporting for operation, infrastructure, network, and security teams.
- Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis.
- Produce documentation, runbooks, and deliver knowledge transfer.

Skills Required
- Strong hands-on experience with Aria Operations and Aria Operations for Networks.
- Understanding of NSX and network concepts.
- Experience in customising alerts, metrics, dashboards, and reporting for operational, security, network teams.
- Experience in infrastructure monitoring, alerting, and observability.
- Capacity management and performance tuning.
- Experience working in secure environments.
