VodafoneThree - Commercial Finance Analyst - CVB P&L

Corporate Finance – Senior Finance Business Partner (Consolidated P&L & Value Creation) – London or Newbury

Location: London or Newbury (Hybrid) Salary: Excellent basic salary, plus performance-based bonus and comprehensive Vodafone benefits Working Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday) Flexibility: Hybrid working model with minimum attendance of 2–3 days per week (or 8 days/month) in office, based on manager agreement.


About the Role

Join Vodafone Three at the heart of our mission—to build a connected network that empowers every community. As a Senior Finance Business Partner, you’ll play a critical role in driving Consume Value Brands (CVB) performance by providing actionable financial insights, financial modelling, and commercial leadership across multiple brands.

Reporting into the CVB Finance team, this is a high-impact role that bridges analytical rigor with strategic business decision-making. You’ll support the most senior leaders by consolidating financial performance, managing risks, and identifying growth opportunities—ensuring the business operates efficiently, responsibly, and sustainably.


What You’ll Do

This role requires strategic ownership and leadership across key financial and commercial aspects:

  • P&L & Performance Leadership

    • Own the consolidated P&L and performance insight for CVB, delivering clear, compelling narratives for stakeholders
    • Lead thorough consolidated financial performance analysis, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities
    • Drive varence analysis by month-end across multiple brands and present findings to senior leadership
  • Risks & Opportunities Portfolio

    • Take end-to-end ownership of CVB Risks & Opportunities (R&O) consolidation
    • Shape financial assumptions and KPIs to fulfil CVB’s brand-level and corporate strategic goals
  • Financial Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement

    • Partner with Brand Finance managers to align and streamline month-end processes
    • Coordinate high-value reporting packs tailored to Board and Executive Council needs
    • Build cross-brand value creation insight, including unit economics and capital allocation

  • Cost Management & Financial Clarity

    • Work closely with commercial teams to enforce expenditure discipline and financial transparency
    • Develop focused business cases, scenario modelling and post-investment reviews

    • Continuously enhance financial models, reporting frameworks, and analytical techniques
    • Collaborate with FP&A & Business Intelligence teams to unlock deeper insights and refine decision-making

    • Strengthen go-to relationships with leaders in finance and commercial functions

  • Analytical & Financial Expertise

    • Strong background in P&L management, financial analysis, and accounting principles
    • Advanced Excel proficienty, with complex-dashboard building capability
    • Advanced, dynamic PowerPoint skills (clear, engaging storytelling)

    • Experienced in leading cross-functional projects—satisfying data-driven leaders
    • Self-confident in presenting to senior stakeholders with permission and poise

Key Requirements

  • Full business financial checks and regulatory compliance (assignments under Financial Conduct Authority & VodafoneThree standards)
  • Expertise navigating Excel, Power Query, and time-saving reporting tech (ideal: with exposure to Qlik or Power BI)
  • Must prefer to be located between London and Newbury, though hybrid flexibility is adjustable
