Digital Designer – Consumer Team
Location: Glasgow, Newbury, London (+ Hybrid) Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits Working Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Mon–Fri) Contract: 12-month Fixed Term Flexibility: Hybrid working model (2–3 office days/week, minimum 8 days/month in-office)

What You’ll Do
As a Digital Designer on our Consumer team, your role focuses on crafting clear, engaging, and accessible experiences. You’ll collaborate across functions to design for real-world impact:
- Create user-focused content—build narratives for web and app journeys that are simple, intuitive, and empowering.
- Turn ideas into reality—translate business needs and UX strategies into engaging wireframes and prototypes.
- Optimise always—continuously refine digital content to ensure alignment with brand guidelines, accuracy, and inclusivity.
- Drive collaboration—work with Brand, UX, Product, Legal, and Engineering to deliver cohesive, high-quality experiences.
- Experimentation & personalisation—develop content variations for A/B testing, personalisation, and iterative improvement.
- Prioritise accessibility—apply WCAG standards and inclusive design practices to ensure all users can engage.
- Iterate through feedback—participate in design critiques, peer reviews, and continuous improvement cycles.
- Maintain documentation—keep design specs and case studies up to date for the team.
- End-to-end delivery—support new features, updates, and releases with clear, harmonised content.
- Data-informed design—leverage research, analytics, and insights to enhance performance and customer outcomes.

What You Bring
We’re looking for a strategic digital thinker with a mix of technical skills and empathy:
- Proven expertise in Digital Design (adjacent roles welcome if you share the spark for UX).
- Deep understanding of UX principles, responsive design, and customer journey mapping.
- Simplification prowess—ability to distil complex information into clear, actionable insights for broad audiences.
- Team player by nature—comfortable collaborating across cross-functional digital teams (Design, Product, Legal, Data, etc.).
- Passion for inclusion—knowledge of WCAG and accessibility best practices is a must.
- Maestro of tools—expertise in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud, with familiarity in CMS platforms (e.g., Contentful, Storyblok, or others).
- Data-driven creativity—ability to use analytics, A/B testing, and research to refine designs iteratively.
- Ideal background—experience in telecoms, digital services, or customer-focused industries is a bonus but not required.
