Location: Newbury + *Hybrid

Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and benefits

Working Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday

Duration: 12 months

Join VodafoneThree's Financial Reporting team on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract and play a key role in one of the UK's most significant business integrations. As a Financial Accountant - Financial Reporting, you’ll support statutory reporting, audit management, balance sheet control, and shareholder reporting, helping to deliver high-quality financial information while maintaining strong governance and controls.

Working closely with senior finance leaders, including the Head of Financial Reporting, Finance Director and CFO, you’ll provide technical accounting expertise across IFRS and FRS 101, collaborate with auditors and stakeholders across the business, and help shape new reporting processes and control frameworks.

This is an excellent opportunity to broaden your experience, increase your visibility, and make a real impact as VodafoneThree continues its integration journey.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and coordinate external audits, managing the process from planning through to completion, working closely with auditors and stakeholders to deliver successful half-year, hard close and year-end audits.
  • Prepare and deliver statutory accounts for UK entities, ensuring compliance with FRS 101 and internal reporting requirements while maintaining high standards of accuracy and governance.
  • Support the production of consolidated financial statements for VodafoneThree, collaborating across the wider finance function to deliver high-quality financial reporting.
  • Help deliver dual shareholder reporting obligations, ensuring timely, accurate and insightful reporting to support key stakeholder requirements.
  • Drive the enhancement of SOX controls within financial reporting, helping to document, test and embed robust controls across critical finance processes.
  • Play a key role in finance and business integration activities, partnering with colleagues across the organisation to support merger-related initiatives and help shape the future of VodafoneThree's finance landscape.
  • Build relationships across a broad stakeholder network, gaining valuable exposure while contributing to one of the UK's most significant business integration programmes.

Qualifications

Who you are.

  • ACA-qualified accountant with a background in public practice and strong technical accounting and advisory expertise.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of IFRS and FRS 101, with the ability to apply accounting standards confidently in a dynamic business environment.
  • Experience of, or exposure to, SOX controls and financial governance frameworks would be beneficial.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with senior leaders, auditors and external advisors.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach, with a passion for driving high-quality financial reporting, continuous improvement and strong governance.
