The Role: Digital Solutions Architect (VBSE)
You’ll lead **end-to-end architecture for Vodafone’s Business Secure Enterprise, ensuring everything we build is scalable, secure, and aligned with Vodafone’s strategic goals. Working across the sell-build-run lifecycle, your expertise will shape customer-centric, high-performance solutions tailored to the UK’s largest organisations.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own architecture for Vodafone Business Secure Enterprise, producing high- and low-level architectural designs (HLDs, LLDs) and overseeing governance throughout the lifecycle.
- Lead and maintain a digital reference architecture, including:
- Identity & authentication frameworks (e.g., OpenID Connect, OAuth 2.0).
- Integration strategies using TM Forum APIs.
- Event-driven architecture for seamless system connectivity.
- System observability for enhanced monitoring and resilience.
- Embed security-by-design: Ensure solutions meet VBSE security standards while aligning with enterprise authorisation/multi-factor access policies.
- Coordinate architecture reviews with Product, Delivery, Engineering, Cyber Security, and Operations teams, balancing reuse of existing assets with tailored, high-impact solutions.
- Bridge non-functional requirements (performance, resilience, scalability) into clear architectural constraints, handing over well-documented design artefacts to engineering teams.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
