People & Capabilities Consultant
Location: London or Newbury + Hybrid Salary: Excellent basic salary plus bonus and Vodafone benefits
Working Arrangement
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
- Hybrid model – 2–3 in-office days, minimum 8 office days per month
- Tailored to align with your line manager’s expectations

What You’ll Do
As a People & Capabilities Consultant, you’ll partner with Networks & IT to:
- Shape talent, skills, and leadership development plans aligned with business priorities and future needs.
- Build insights into functional strategy, operating models, and emerging trends to provide informed, actionable support.
- Collaborate across HR, Talent, Frontline L&D, and TA to:
- Identify capability gaps and prioritise skill development.
- Strengthen succession planning and diverse talent pipelines.
- Design capability and development plans, leveraging internal/external learning programs.
- Lead leadership, talent, and capability activities, ensuring high-quality execution and measurable results.
- Embed joined-up talent initiatives with Skills & Capabilities and Talent teams.
- Track and share talent insights (e.g., pipeline health, diversity, retention, programme impact).

Who You Are
You’re a strategic thinker with industry experience—ideal for a role at the intersection of people and technology. We’re looking for:
- Experience in Networks/IT environments, with knowledge of key roles, skills, and emerging tech trends.
- The ability to work with senior stakeholders to translate organisational priorities into talent/capability strategies.
- Familiarity with workforce planning approaches (e.g., build, buy, borrow, bot) and their practical application.
- Data-driven mindset—the ability to analyse people/skills data to identify gaps, drive priorities, and review progress.
- Talent review, succession planning, and development experience, especially for technical/specialist teams.
- Comfort facilitating discussions and contributing to strategic conversations that shape outcomes.
