Voice Over Artist — Welsh English (AI Speech Recording)
About the Role
What if your voice could directly shape how AI understands real human speech? We're looking for profesional voice actors and voice-over artists with an authentic Welsh accent to take part in paid studio recording sessions for a leading AI speech research project.
This is a contract role involving a small number of focused recording sessions. Your voice will help AI systems better understand natural, conversational English as it's genuinely spoken in Wales—making technology more accurate and inclusive for Welsh speakers.
This project does not involve voice cloning.
Organisation: Alignerr Type: Contract Session Format: In-person professional studio recording Session Length: 4 hours per session (2–3 sessions total)

Responsibilities
- Record natural, conversational Welsh-accented English speech in a professional studio environment
- Participate in:
- Single-speaker sessions
- Dual-speaker dialogue recordings
- Deliver realistic, human-sounding dialogue that feels:
- Unscripted
- Authentic
- Follow light direction to vary:
- Tone

- Delivery style
- Ensure genuine Welsh accent is preserved—it’s the core focus
Requirements
Essential
- Professional voice actor or voice-over artist with demonstrable experience
- Native or near-native Welsh accent speaker—authentic regional sound matters
- Comfortable performing:
- Natural conversational speech
- Not just scripted reads
- Professional, reliable, and open to studio direction
- Fluent in English (for communication and session participation)
- Currently based in Wales
