Voice Performer — Welsh English (AI Speech Training)
About The Role
What if your voice could directly shape how AI understands real human speech? We're looking for professional voice actors and voice-over artists with an authentic Welsh accent to take part in paid studio recording sessions for a leading AI speech research project.
This is a rare, in-person contract opportunity for experienced voice talent based in Wales. You'll be recorded in a professional studio environment, performing natural conversational speech that helps AI systems learn to understand how real people talk — with all the rhythm, nuance, and character that makes Welsh English distinct.
This project does not involve voice cloning.

What You'll Do
- Record natural, conversational Welsh English speech in a professional studio setting
- Participate in single-speaker sessions and dual-speaker dialogue recordings
- Deliver realistic, unscripted-sounding dialogue across a variety of everyday scenarios
- Follow light direction to vary tone, pacing, and delivery as needed
- Bring authenticity, warmth, and professionalism to every session
Who You Are
- A professional voice actor or voice-over artist with proven recording experience
- A native or near-native Welsh English speaker — your accent is the real deal
- Currently based in Wales and able to attend in-person studio sessions
- Comfortable performing natural, conversational dialogue (not just scripted reads)
- Reliable, professional, and receptive to direction
- Fluent in English at a working level for communication

Nice to Have
- Acting or performance background
- Experience in broadcast, podcast production, or prior studio recording work
- Comfort with improvised or dialogue-based performance styles
