Welsh Voice Actor / Voice-Over Artist (AI Speech Recording)
About The Role
What if your Welsh voice could directly shape how AI understands the way real people in Wales speak? We're looking for professional voice actors and voice-over artists with an authentic Welsh accent to take part in paid in-studio recording sessions for a leading AI speech research project.
Your voice will help AI systems better recognise and understand natural human conversation — making technology more accurate and inclusive for Welsh English speakers everywhere. This project does not involve voice cloning.

- Session Format: In-person professional recording studio (locally assigned in Wales)
- Commitment: 2–3 sessions of approximately 4 hours each

What You'll Do
- Record natural, conversational Welsh English speech in a professional studio environment
- Participate in single-speaker sessions and dual-speaker dialogue recordings
- Deliver realistic, human-sounding dialogue that feels unscripted and natural
- Follow light direction to vary tone, pacing, and delivery across different scenarios
- Bring authenticity and professionalism to every session
Who You Are
- A professional voice actor or voice-over artist with studio recording experience
- A native or near-native Welsh accent speaker — your accent is your most important qualification
- Currently based in Wales and able to attend in-person studio sessions
- Fluent in English at a working level
- Comfortable performing natural, conversational dialogue — not just scripted reads
- Reliable, professional, and receptive to direction

Nice to Have
- Acting or performance background
- Experience in broadcast, podcast production, or prior studio recording work
- Comfort performing both solo monologue and back-and-forth conversational dialogue
