Self-Employed Voice/Singing Teacher

West London | Starting September 2026

We are looking for a singing teacher who can make lessons the part of a student’s week they genuinely look forward to. Maison Musicale is an established music education and events company based in West London. We provide thoughtful, personalised teaching alongside inspiring opportunities for students to perform and grow in confidence.

The opportunity

You will:

  • Teach regular one-to-one singing lessons in students’ homes across West London.
  • Work primarily with children and teenagers at different stages of their musical development.
  • Prepare students for performances, auditions and graded examinations where appropriate.
  • Develop lesson plans around each student’s voice, personality and goals.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with parents and the Maison Musicale directors.
  • Maintain brief and useful records for admin purposes and student progress.
  • Support bi-annual Maison Musicale student concerts and performance opportunities.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Genuinely enjoys teaching and inspiring young people.
  • Has proven experience teaching singing one-to-one.
  • Is warm, upbeat and able to engage both younger children and teenagers.
  • Is reliable and able to offer the same weekly teaching times consistently.
  • Can take on multiple students and commit for at least the full 2026–27 academic year.
  • Can travel reliably and in a timely fashion between students’ homes in Hammersmith, Brook Green, Holland Park, Notting Hill, Kensington and the surrounding areas.
  • Has the right to undertake self-employed work (settled/pre-settled status, visa, etc.) in the UK through at least July 2027 and preferably onwards.
  • Holds an appropriate DBS certificate or is willing to complete the required check before teaching begins.
  • Can provide two professional references (upon request).

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

A bachelor’s degree in music, vocal performance, music education or equivalent UK/EU/US conservatoire training is preferred. Ongoing, or completed post-graduate degrees are a plus. Some piano skills sufficient to lead warm-ups and provide accompaniment, approximately Grade 5 standard or above, would be a strong advantage.
