Permanent Void Officer – Regional Accommodation Maintenance Service (RAMS)
Location
Kinloss, Forres, Scotland
Key Requirement: Full validity driving license essential.
About the Role
Void Officers ensure void properties are maintained, managed, and maintained to “Move In” standards within Amey’s Regional Accommodation Maintenance Service (RAMS), part of the Future Defence Infrastructure Services (FDIS) contract for the MOD.
Close collaboration with regional supply chain teams ensures consistently high service delivery.

- Contract Type: Permanent
- Hours: 37.5 per week (Monday–Friday)
- Base Location: Kinloss, Forres, Scotland
Key Responsibilities
Core Duties
- Engage with social value leads to capture and deliver measurable social impact.
- Liaise with Performance Coaches and Void Managers to address void performance concerns and drive targeted improvements.
- Conduct initial void assessments across properties to verify compliance with Maintenance and Void Management (SFA) requirements.
- Oversee external grounds maintenance contractor compliance across the operating area.
- Plan, track, and prioritise resources against clear strategic objectives.
- Leverage Amey’s data tools to analyse trends, maintain records, and identify problems within alignment with workflow structures.

Supply Chain Leadership
- Work with the VOID supply team to ensure Pre-Move In Standards are consistently achieved.
Stakeholder Engagement
A key focus of the role will be building direct relationships with:
- MoD facility managers.
- Amey’s internal teams.
- Residual service users.
Expected Skills & Experience
Essential
- Safety management experience in a construction or residential setting.
- Maintenance operations management.
- Highly detail-oriented with visible improvements to site/maintenance standards.
- Full Clean Driving Licence (for Amey’s fleet vehicle use).
- Accreditations required:
- Asbestos Responsible Person.
- Legionella Responsible Person.
- Authorised Person Training.
- Emergency First Aid.
- Fire Safety.
Desirable (but not mandatory)
- In-depth knowledge of construction/property lifecycle processes.
- Prior MoD or construction sector experience.
