We are recruiting for a Void Surveyor for a leading Social Housing provider based in Buckinghamshire, supporting commercial and property services across the local region on a permanent basis.
As a Void Surveyor, you will be responsible for inspecting void properties to identify repair, compliance and lettable standard requirements.

Key responsibilities include:
- Following tenancy termination, promptly inspect void properties to identify repair, compliance and lettable standard requirements.
- Prepare clear schedules of work using the Schedule of Rates (SOR), authorise works within delegated budgets, and work closely with contractors to ensure works are completed safely, to a high standard, on time and within budget.
- Carry out pre, in-progress and post inspections to monitor quality and ensure homes are ready for handover.
- Ensure all statutory compliance requirements are completed before re-let, including gas, electrical, fire safety, asbestos, smoke/CO alarms and water hygiene checks where applicable.
- Resolve damp, mould and condensation issues, manage former tenant recharge cases for excessive damage, and address post-let defects within service standards while identifying root causes.
- Maintain accurate records, photographs and certification, and provide regular updates through weekly void performance meetings.

The successful Void Surveyor will have:
- Hold a relevant qualification such as an HNC/ONC or equivalent, or be able to demonstrate substantial experience within property maintenance, repairs or a qualified trade background.
- Experience within social housing, property maintenance, construction, repairs or the asset management sector is essential, together with knowledge of using Schedule of Rates (SOR) codes, raising works orders, validating invoices and monitoring contractor costs.
- Strong IT skills and the ability to use systems and software effectively are also required.
