Volleyball Project Lead – IT Support & Sorting Support Technician Role

What You’ll Do
As Volleyball Project Lead, you’ll lead end-to-end delivery of Bolt6 products at live sporting events while overseeing operations, teams, and on-site execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Blended responsibilities: technical input, project planning, team leadership, and systems improvement
- On-site for ~150 days per year
- First point of escalation for site operations and troubleshooting
- Auspicion product performance improvements and team evolution at an event level
Event Delivery
- Lead full operational delivery for assigned volleyball events, including:
- Setup, live operation, and post-event review
- Pre-event planning with tournament directors, partners, and vendors
- Ensuring quality, reliability, and accurate control of operations
- Coordinate remote support when away from the venue

Operational Performance
- Identify improvements in processes, documentation, and setup workflows
- Maintain inventory tracking for technical kit and logistics
- Align operational requirements with product developments
- Introduce and train teams on new systems in live environments
Team Leadership
- Line manage up to 8 engineers/senior engineers, including:
- Supporting site leads and escalation pathways
- Building team confidence in live operations
- Conducting performance feedback cycles
- Tracking skill records
- Aiding recruitment and career progression of operational staff
** Communication & Feedback**
- Gather feedback from technical directors and partner teams
- Share operational insights with leadership teams and development groups
- Assist with live troubleshooting (both on-site and remotely)
What You’ll Bring
Essential Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of volleyball rules (or experience playing)
- Proven successful experience in live operations delivery
- Technical competence in:
- Hardware installation
- Networking
- Live systems
- Strong leadership ability—managing and motivating small teams
- High-pressure communication—excel in client/stakeholder interactions
- Flexibility: adapt to working hours and global travel requirements

Nice-to-Haves
- Background in sports technology, broadcast operations, or network infrastructure
- STEM- or equivalent technical foundation
What We Offer
- Salary: £35,000–£45,000 (depending on experience)

Location
- 150+ days/year on-site at global sports events
- Outside of travel: remote work or our offices in London/Winchester
