Role Description
This is a part-time remote Volunteer role supporting the charitable activities of Green Shelter Society UK. Day-to-day responsibilities may include:

- Communicating with service users and partner organizations via phone, email, or online platforms.
- Supporting outreach campaigns and community projects.
- Assisting with administrative tasks such as data entry, scheduling, and documentation.
- Helping prepare digital materials, update online resources, and coordinate virtual events or support sessions.

The role involves working collaboratively with other volunteers and staff, following guidance and safeguarding procedures, and providing reliable, compassionate support to the people the charity serves.
Qualifications
- Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully in written and spoken English, with strong listening skills and a supportive approach.
- Basic digital literacy, including using email, online meeting tools, and office software for remote collaboration and documentation.
- Organizational skills to manage tasks, follow instructions, meet agreed deadlines, and maintain accurate records.
- Empathy and sensitivity when interacting with disadvantaged, disabled, elderly individuals, and children, with a commitment to confidentiality and safeguarding.
- Reliability, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment while being part of a broader team.
- Prior experience in volunteering, social care, community work, or charity activities is beneficial but not required.
- Willingness to complete any necessary background checks and training relevant to working with vulnerable groups.
