Help The Friendly Food Club fight food insecurity across BCP & Dorset.
Volunteers are vital to what we do. Help us with administration for onboarding and inductions and making that first contact really count. Flexible, remote-friendly role. 💛
What difference will you make?
For people facing food insecurity, volunteers are often the first welcoming face they meet — offering a friendly face, warmth and reassurance at difficult times. This human connection reduces stigma, builds trust and helps people feel valued rather than judged, creating safe spaces where meaningful support can happen.
For Friendly Food Club, volunteers enable us to reach more people, respond flexibly to local needs and remain rooted in community insight.
Ultimately, volunteers create lasting change — strengthening families, building resilience and helping communities thrive. 💛.
Volunteers have time to listen to individuals and make all the difference for that one person. One person at a time, we help to build confidence, try new things and transform lives.
This role will significantly improve the first contact that a volunteer applicant has with us, offering a friendly welcome, just as we would want them to offer to our beneficiaries. We are hoping that this role will improve the speed of onboarding of good quality volunteers and get them working in the community as quickly as possible.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
