Volunteer Challenge Events Coordinator

We're looking for a volunteer to coordinate our Challenge Events, managing our listings and registrations across the event platforms we use, and supporting the people who take on events and challenges to raise funds for our charity.

What difference will you make?

Challenge Events raise funds that go directly into the gift cards through which our support reaches people in need. By keeping our event listings visible, our records accurate, and our participants well looked after, you will help ensure fundraisers choose us, complete their challenges, and raise valuable funds to support people experiencing clothing poverty.

What's in it for you?

  • A flexible volunteering opportunity that can fit around your existing commitments.
  • The chance to use your professional skills to give back and support a meaningful cause.
  • A supportive, collaborative environment with a clear and focused scope of work.
  • Being part of a team of passionate, committed volunteers.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in administration or coordination.
  • Ideally, experience with fundraising or charity events, specifically experience with coordinating Challenge Events, ideally including Run4Charity, TimeOutdoors, Eventbrite or JustGiving, though this is not essential as training will be provided.
  • A methodical, accurate approach to tracking registrations, fundraising totals and deadlines across multiple systems.
  • Clear, friendly written communication for participant messages and confirmations.
  • Microsoft 365/Office skills, including Excel.
  • Ability to manage your own workload across the events cycle.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What will you be doing?

At Clothing Collective, our story began in 2018, when we set out to assist those in our society facing difficulties in clothing themselves. We wanted to bridge the gap between the vast resources available across the country and those who had little or no access to them. Over the past eight years, we have become a recognised leader in providing access to clothing by connecting people in need with existing stock held by charity shops.

In 2024, we entered an exciting new chapter as a charity, revitalising and refocusing our mission. We are strengthening our offer and empowering our partners and volunteers to help achieve our goals.

In this role, you will look after the charity's Challenge Events administration across the platforms we use (Run4Charity, TimeOutdoors, Eventbrite and JustGiving), keeping our event listings live and up to date, tracking registrations as they come through, and making sure participants and their fundraising are accurately recorded from sign-up through to completion.

The role will involve

  • Managing our listings on Run4Charity and TimeOutdoors, keeping our presence across their events accurate and up to date, and proactively identifying events where the charity should be listed.
  • Setting up and managing Eventbrite listings.
  • Tracking registrations across the platforms, keeping accurate records of participants, their chosen events and key dates.
  • Supporting participants with the standard touchpoints, including welcome and confirmation messages, help setting up their JustGiving page, and thanks after their event.
  • Monitoring fundraising through JustGiving and keeping our records of funds raised accurate and current.
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to promote listed events through our existing channels.
  • Simple reporting on Challenge Events outcomes for the CEO, trustees, and wider team.
