Complementary Therapist and Wellbeing Practitioner – Volunteer Role

Overview

As a volunteer complementary therapist or wellbeing practitioner, you are an equal and valued member of the team, supporting service users by delivering a wide range of therapies and practices that promote wellbeing.

Our service users’ health and wellbeing are important to us, so you will play a pivotal role in supporting healthier lifestyles by:

  • Developing relaxation
  • Building resilience
  • Fostering connection between mind and body

Responsibilities

We welcome individuals offering any type of:

  • Complementary
  • Holistic
  • Creative
  • Wellbeing-based practice (e.g. massage, Reiki, breathwork, sound healing, beauty/nails, movement, mindfulness, or other relevant approaches to support wellbeing).

As a qualified or experienced practitioner, your key tasks will be:

  • Conducting appropriate health condition screening before sessions.
  • Discussing client expectations in advance.

Following training/induction, you will:

  • Support the improvement of social and emotional wellbeing.
  • Provide a holistic and flexible approach to treatment in 1:1 and group settings.
  • Contribute sessions as regularly or occasionally as your availability allows, in Hastings and/or Eastbourne.
