Volunteer – Complementary Therapist & Wellbeing Practitioner

As a volunteer complementary therapist or wellbeing practitioner, you will be an equal and valued member of our team, supporting service users by delivering a wide range of therapies and practices that promote wellbeing.

Our service users’ health and wellbeing matter to us, so you will play a pivotal role in supporting healthier lifestyles by developing relaxation, resilience, and mind-body connection.

About the Role

We welcome individuals offering any type of complementary, holistic, creative, or wellbeing-based practice, including but not limited to:

  • Massage
  • Reiki
  • Breathwork
  • Sound healing
  • Beauty/nails
  • Movement therapies (e.g., yoga, Pilates)
  • Mindfulness
  • Or other approved approaches supporting overall wellbeing.

As a qualified or experienced practitioner, you will:

  • Conduct appropriate health screening before sessions
  • Discuss expectations with service users
  • Receive training/induction to improve social and emotional wellbeing
  • Provide holistic and flexible treatment in 1:1 and group settings

This is a flexible, ad hoc volunteer role based across Hastings and/or Eastbourne. Sessions can be offered as often or occasionally as fits your availability.

Requirements

  • Experience as a complementary, holistic, creative, or wellbeing practitioner (qualification preferred)
  • 18+ years old
  • Compassionate attitude towards service users
