Volunteer Content Creator

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Volunteer Content Creator to help us develop engaging content for our online community of parents/carers of autistic children up to 12 years old.

What difference will you make?

Your input to our brand and marketing materials will shape how we present ourselves to our service users, stakeholders, funders, and general public. With your help, we will ensure our website and other resources truly reflect our charity’s vision and impact.

Skills And Experience

  • Demonstrable experience creating digital content, videos, social media posts, and newsletters.
  • Familiarity with short-form video formats (TikTok, Reels, Shorts) and video editing tools such as CapCut or InShot.
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools (Photoshop, Canva).
  • SharePoint and Microsoft 365 savvy.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • An interest in autism & neurodiversity.
  • Creativity and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently and meet agreed deadlines.
  • Able to commit 3-5 hours per week for 12 months.
  • Reliable, proactive, and responsible.
  • Align content with the charity values and vision of autism.

Desirable

  • Experience with social media management or small online communities.
  • Knowledge of email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp.

  • Comfortable with video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent).
  • Experience working with therapists.
  • Familiar with Autism and interest in neurodiversity.

What will you be doing?

Key Responsibilities

Microlearning Content

  • Create short (5-10 minutes) engaging microlearning videos based on content provided by our therapists.
  • Able to give guidance to the therapists on video format and recording.
  • Edit video clips for the online community.
  • Develop visual assets, captions, and supporting materials.
  • Ensure content is accessible, inclusive, and easy to understand.

Online Community Content

  • Create posts for our online community platform.
  • Schedule and publish educational and engagement content.
  • Help promote events, resources, and awareness campaigns.
  • Encourage positive engagement within community guidelines.

Email Communications

  • Develop email communication templates for:
    • Community updates
    • Live session invitations
    • Polls and surveys
    • Parent and carer newsletters
