Volunteer & Digital Services Coordinator
SARA is looking for a passionate and organised Volunteer & Digital Services Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in ensuring survivors of sexual violence can access safe, confidential and trauma-informed support.
Working alongside volunteers, helpline sessional workers and colleagues across SARA, you will coordinate the delivery and development of our Helpline & Digital Services, including helpline, live chat and email support. You will also lead on our volunteer programme, supporting the recruitment, training, supervision and ongoing development of volunteers who play a vital role in our services.
This is a varied and rewarding role, combining volunteer coordination, service development, safeguarding, data monitoring and relationship-building. You will help ensure our services continue to meet the needs of survivors, while supporting volunteers and sessional workers to feel confident, valued and well-equipped in their roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinating SARA’s volunteer programme, including recruitment, induction, training, support and supervision
- Overseeing the day-to-day delivery of Helpline & Digital Services, ensuring sessions are safely and effectively staffed
- Supporting volunteers and helpline sessional workers through regular check-ins, debriefs and supervision processes
- Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, confidentiality and trauma-informed practice
- Supporting the development of service procedures, policies and training
- Collecting and analysing service data to support reporting, funding requirements and service improvement
- Representing SARA at external meetings, events and partnership opportunities

We are looking for someone who understands the impact of sexual violence and is committed to providing survivor-centred, trauma-informed support. You will have strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities and the confidence to coordinate and support a team of volunteers and sessional workers.
Experience of working with volunteers, delivering training, managing digital or helpline services, or supporting people affected by trauma would be highly desirable.

Job Details
- Salary: £30,525.94 per annum + 6% employer pension contribution
- Hours: 35 hours per week
- Location: SARA’s centre in Sale, with hybrid working available (1 day per week from home)
- Contract: Fixed-term until 31 March 2028 (subject to further funding)
- Benefits: 25 days annual leave (increasing with length of service) plus statutory holidays
