Volunteer Entry Into Service (EIS) Engagement
Volunteer Opportunity – Primary Care Assessment Team (PCAT), RISE Consortium
About the Organisation
Change Grow Live is a charity dedicated to transforming the lives of service users by offering tailored support in a safe, respectful environment. Our core values—‘be open, be compassionate and be bold'—guide us in achieving our mission: to help individuals change direction, grow as individuals, and live life to its full potential.
We are part of RISE, an integrated, end-to-end treatment and recovery service for Ealing residents aged 18+, led by Change Grow Live, Central and North West London NHS Mental Health Trust, and Build on Belief (a service user-led organisation). The service provides a wide range of pharmacological and psychosocial interventions to address alcohol and substance misuse.
About the Role
A new Primary Care Assessment Team (PCAT) within RISE has been established to:
- Navigate Ealing residents accessing GP or hospital services with alcohol/illicit drug concerns but currently not engaged in structured treatment.
- Engage, assess, and referred service users to RISE as appropriate.
- Provide psycho-social support within primary care settings.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
