Volunteer Fundraising & Grants Manager

We are seeking a Volunteer Fundraising & Grants Manager to identify funding opportunities, write grant applications, and support fundraising initiatives, helping the Nautical Training Corps secure vital funding to expand opportunities for young people across the UK.

What difference will you make?

The Nautical Training Corps has refreshed and re-established its foundations. Now, we are focused on enhancing the quality of our core offer to young people while securing the resources needed to invest in:

  • Activities and training opportunities
  • Equipment and facilities
  • New initiatives for our beneficiaries

This role is integral to helping us turn our ambitions into reality and ensuring sustainable growth.

Our volunteers already deliver incredible outcomes with limited resources, helping young people develop:

  • Confidence
  • Leadership skills
  • Teamwork
  • Resilience
  • A sense of community

However, we recognise significant potential to further enhance opportunities through: ✔ Targeted investment ✔ A more strategic fundraising approach

The successful volunteer will help build a sustainable funding pipeline, enabling us to move beyond immediate needs and towards long-term development. This will support our goal of providing high-quality experiences while ensuring equitable access for young people from diverse backgrounds.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
