Role Description
The Volunteer Islamic Finance Article Writer role is a remote opportunity focused on producing clear, well-researched articles on Islamic finance topics including, but not limited to, personal finance, Islamic banking, Islamic insurance, investments, and ethical financial practices. The writer will collaborate with the IIOS to identify relevant topics, align content with the institute’s educational mission, and adhere to Islamic principles in financial discussions. This is an unpaid volunteer role intended for individuals who wish to contribute to public benefit and expand awareness of Islamic finance, especially students & graduates.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess knowledge and interest in Islamic Finance.
- Candidates should possess strong research and writing skills.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with instruments/elements and ethical financial practices within an Islamic framework.
- Candidates should possess clear, structured writing skills suitable for articles aimed at a general audience that ensures a digestible and easy read.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Understanding of or interest in Islamic principles related to economics, business or finance.
- Prior experience in article writing, blogging, or academic writing is beneficial but not required.
- Proficiency in English is ideal; additional language skills related to Islamic scholarship are a plus. Alternatively, you could write an article in another language of your choice (e.g. your native language).
